Marquee For Charity Event In St Ives: A Family Affair!

Sunday 11th September was a first for All Undercover Marquees. All 4 members of the family headed off to erect a 6m x 9m marquee for a charity event in St Ives. A friend was organising an Afternoon Tea to raise money for Target Ovarian Cancer. With the weather being typically unpredictable, we decided not to take any chances and ensure they had some cover for the event.

The eldest of the teenagers took great delight in telling Mum what to do, with the youngest also putting his two penn'orth in. However, the build all went well with no family bust-ups!

From understanding certain terminology in the office, it's a different matter putting it into practice, but definitely a worthwhile exercise. Not sure the rest of the office staff would agree. At least if we're ever short staffed we know of an extra pair of hands to help out.

The event was a great success, with plenty of money raised for a worthwhile cause. Added bonus were the cakes that were left over. Worth getting a hi-viz jacket on for!
